---Why Is Certified Organic Important?
A typical product will contain anything from 15–50 ingredients. Considering that the average woman uses between 9 and 15 personal care products per day, researchers have estimated that, when combined with the addition of perfumes, women place around 515 individual chemicals on their skin each day through cosmetic use.
Many brands claim their products are organic or "100% Natural" on the label. It is easy to say because the organic standards of personal care products are not as strict as those that measure the quality of food.
But when you look into the ingredient list of these products, you might find synthetic toxic ingredients that are never allowed in organic food products such as alcohol, aluminum, parabens, paraffin, and more than 25 others at least, which have been confirmed to be harmful to the human and environment. (Please look at the whole toxic list in the blogs section)
But why do cosmetic products have to use those bad chemicals?
- Antisepsis: There are more than 60 types of preservatives. Parabens Imidazolidinyl Urea (Germall II) and Diazolidinyl Urea (Germall 115) are most commonly used as preservatives to extend the shelf life of products and kill bacteria.
- Basic formulation use: polysorbates, laureth-4, and potassium cetyl sulfate etc. Many are used as surfactants, emulsifiers, and thickeners to produce a homogeneous and well-mixed product with an even texture and an appealing consistency.
- Bring results: petrolatum, mineral oil, glycerin, zinc oxide, butyl stearate, and diglycol laurate act as emollients to produce moisture, colors, fragrances, whitening, and more ...
Conclusion
In our pursuit of beauty, it is wise to remember that cosmetics can be a complex combination of chemicals. Skin is the largest organ you have. It’s also ultimately absorbent.
If any of these synthetic chemicals appear in the products, it is your responsibility to avoid them at all costs even though it says "natural product."
For all the people who love themselves, we proudly announce that we are launching products that are certified organic by USDA, which has the most strict standards for organic products, so you can feel confident when you use them.
